My dog Mia

I grew up with dogs. We pretty much always having at least 2 if not more. While away at school I missed them greatly. At the end of my 5th year I started looking into as I lived in a dog freindly apartment and was going into a year that should allow me with some time to spend with a new furry freind.

Cloe, one of my partent's dog, she was as close to "mine" as any dog was.

I was looking into what breed would be good for an apartment and what was around at the various rescues. I came a across a local greyhound adoption agency. What I was reading seemed to indicate that this would be a good pair, they were low maintenance, quite, and loved their people.

I asked my mom if she knew much about them, she told me that they were in the process of adopting 2. (I should explain that they had 4 dogs at that point and lived in Florida for the winter).

I went through the process of applying at the local greyhound adoption group, and because I had just found out I had to move back soon (Job I was hoping didn't happen) I was told to wait or adopt one back in Ontario.

I didn't end up getting one till end of march the following year due to various other things, but in the mean time, my girl friend adopted a another dog Duke.

Duke, looking as elegant as ever.

Which leads me to Mia. I didn't know who I was going to get till i got there (not the best way of doing it, but I can't complain now).

She is incredibly chill and calm.
It has been so much fun watching her grow as a pet outside the track. She has learned to play with balls, learned stairs, and become as attached to me and Emily as we are to her.
