Had the dogs our for a good long run back a week ago when we had a decent amount of snow.
Both the dogs love the snow. Mia doesn’t mind the cold as much as you might think with her lack of fur; she keeps running to stay warm.
Duke loves the snow, he likes to eat it as well. Hence the snow on his nose.
Now, to actually take 99% of pictures most people use auto exposure, or at the very least the built in light meter that calculates correct exposure. That is rather difficult when taking pictures with high contrast. In this case, bright white snow, and pure black dog.
I lost a lot of photos from being over exposed, leaving duke with no detail. Setting up a offset to the auto exposure and limiting the light measurements to where i was focusing (on the dog) helped a lot.
The classic dog looking over at you is pretty easy with these guys, they stop and look at you when you call their names.
