I recently had a week long business trip to Chicago. I had one night to walk around and take some pics.
I didn’t see too much took a short walk along the river.
I was surprised I was able to take pictures at night handheld. was at max appature of f/4, 1/13 shutter, and 2500 ISO.
Chicago has interesting things where streets have different levels, I can’t imagine trying to navigate with that.
This is the bean.
It is officially called the “Cloud Gate” but it is basically a giant chrome bean. You can see the skyline reflected in it arcing over the surface.
I set up my little miniature tripod to get some long exposure shots. There were lots of people walking around and the long exposure gave them a ghostly trail, but also got the majority of them to be out of the photo.
These are also long exposures of different angles.
This last one is from the park just north of the bean, with a long exposure of the street and skyline.
