So Emily has recently go into a exploring kick and wanted to explore abandon places.
While that last thing I want is a trespassing charge or to get hurt doing this, so while I was hesitant and cautious choosing which places I wanted to go in, there were a couple we stopped at that were amazing.
The first one, was a ways in from the road and barley visible. Again Emily and the eagle peepers.
Walking up to it.
The floor in the main entrance was gone completely and so were the stairs.
The view inside the front door.
The side room's floor was going, but better (just stepped inside). We tried to get a look at the newspaper on the wall to find a date, but couldn't get close enough.
The side room, with a fridge tipped over. (there wasn't a body in it, we checked)
The news paper on the wall.
There was an abandon car (I was told it was a Valiant, but I don't think so) upside down out back. (I now think its 59 Pontiac)
The place had pretty obviously been abandon for along time. It had little to no modern features.
There was also this old washing machine.
2nd place
This place had a demolish order on it that stated the owner had 30 days (almost up) to demolish it.
The front porch's roof was collapsing but the front didn't look too bad otherwise.
That was till we got to the side, the back room was almost gone (no good photos, sorry), and the windows where missing glass.
Window missing at the top.
The front room is pretty good condition, which was pretty surprising.
Front room, floor seemed solid.
When we stepped inside, we heard stuff moving around upstairs, we also heard some whining (turned out to be Mia who wasn't happy about being left in the car). This freaked us out a bit. We stepped back inside and I heard the moment right above me (I was standing just inside the door) and I looked around to see a rat 8 inchs from my face looking though a hole in the door frame.
He quickly turned around and ran back into the wall, but we deiced we would leave him alone.
A few of the other pics, including the bad ones though a window.
That we the only interesting place we found that day, but there will be more later.
