Recently went to a local fair for the horse pull. I won’t go into the rules or anything,.
It was pretty late and the lights weren't the brightest. Combine that with the horses moving pretty fast and it was very hard to capture. Most pictures were taken at ISO 8000-10000, shutter 1/100 s and f/5.6. With my lens I can only do that to about 200m focal length. A 70-200 f4 or f2.8 if I had a ton of money, would be nice.
With the slow shutter speed the hooves are blurred, which gives the impression of movement, but it would have been nice to capture a couple with the dust up in the air.
